Berkeley, Calif., Sept. 18, 2007 - A little over a year ago, Kyle Tibbitts and Colin Behr were on a conference call discussing a disastrous and seemingly doomed unfinished website project. Over-budget and past deadline, the added hassle of dealing with all the different parties involved was causing major headaches. "There has to be an easier way to make websites", said Tibbitts. "Users shouldn't have to deal with designers, coders, hosting companies and domain registrars as separate entities. It should all be converged into one streamlined process".
"It's funny you should mention that," Behr replied. "For some time, I've wanted to start a company that handles everything-a company that brings all the pieces together". It was during this international call that the idea for FusionSquared.com was born. Kyle Tibbitts, a 20-year-old Berkeley undergraduate , and Colin Behr, a 19-year-old from South England, joined forces to redefine and simplify the website building process.
Tibbitts serves as CEO of the company and heads the United States Division while Behr serves as COO heading up the United Kingdom and Germany. At the end of 2006, Richard Flack, a 25-year old from London with over a decade of experience in advanced software and algorithm development, was brought onto the FusionSquared.com team to serve as Chief Technology Officer. One of Flack's key accomplishments was the development of the company's Global CMS which allows all FusionSquared.com clients to manage their website content from anywhere in the world, at any time, with the ease of a word processing program.
Today, FusionSquared.com has a rapidly growing list of clients in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany as well as an expanding product line. The company's most popular product is the Small Business Package which includes website and logo design, hosting, tech support, domain name registration and a content management system for a low monthly rate.
While primarily focusing on providing small businesses, political campaigns and larger corporations with nimble, state-of-the-art websites, FusionSquared.com recently expanded its product line to include online advertising consulting and will soon provide search engine optimization .
